Mozambique

Eden Reforestation Projects are working to replant the 8 million hectares of forest in Mozambique that have been destroyed by natural disasters or cleared for farmland, commercial logging, firewood or charcoal. In their first three months of working on the coast they planted over 280,000 mangrove trees. They are now planting in 62 sites, both coastal and inland, have planted over 80 million trees, and employ over 900,000 local workers with fair wages.
