Eden Reforestation Projects has been working with local leaders and communities to restore mangrove forests in Indonesia since 2017. Indonesia is extremely biodiverse, but has lost 80% of its original forest, 40% of its mangrove forests, and a further 2.5 million hectares every year. Eden Projects now has 14 project sites across remote islands and mainland West Papua offering reforestation and agroforestry programs.
